New Look for 2010 Ford Taurus
The Taurus is one of the oldest models that is still in production today; Taurus has been produced for nearly twenty years now. For 2010 Ford has completely overhauled and redesigned this classic and the result is a much more cooler, luxurious and attractive car. The new model has a brand new grille, new headlights plus beautiful lines. Four models are available, the SE, SEL, Limited and SHO. The Taurus will compete in the full sized sedan niche with popular cars like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. The starting price is around $26k.

All of the Taurus models except the SHO model use a 3.5L V6 engine and output 263 HP with 249 of pound feet of torque. The new Taurus SHO model features a 3.5 Liter V6 engine with and can go from zero to sixty in just 6 seconds. Gas mileage for the SHO model is 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the freeway.

Its inside where the Taurus excels due to Ford's innovative engineering and design; the controls are well placed and easy to use plus there is an abundance of space. The contoured seats are extremely comfortable and offer excellent lumbar support and actually helps driver tiredness and fatigue. The controls are illuminated by cool blue lighting and there is also ambient colored lighting in place. One area where the Taurus shines is its cargo space; there is over 20 cubic feet of trunk space to store all your items.

Lots of nifty features are available such as an advanced navigation system available which provides you with detailed turn by turn directions. A keyless entry keypad enables you to open the doors without using a key, you just simply touch the keypad and it lightens up. Now you won't be able to lock yourself out of your car anymore! With the SHO model there is an innovative rear camera available which allows you to view what is behind you on the navigation screen or the rearview mirror. Microsoft's SYNC system allows super easy compatibility with most MP3 players and Bluetooth cell phones for hands free calling.

The Taurus was designed with safety in mind with the inclusion of anti-lock brakes, front impact airbags, side impact air bags, rain sensing windshield wipers, adaptive cruise control, traction and skid control, a Blind Spot Information system which lets you know when there is another vehicle driving in your blind spot. A Tire Pressure Monitoring system is in place which alerts you when your tires need to be checked out.There is also a security system in place which prevents the car from starting if the original key is not used.

The new Taurus is nothing like it's predecessor, this car is modern, has been updated and looks slicker than ever before. The starting cost for the 2010 model is round $25k and can vary depending on the trims and options selected. Don't overlook the 2010 Taurus, even if you aren't a fan of the older models. This new car might just surprise you!
